Arabic vocabulary
How to say “texts” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
خَلَعْوُا نُصُوصَ الْوَحْيِ عَنْ سُلْطَانِ الْحَقِيقَةِ،
They stripped the revelatory texts of the authority of truth,
نُصُوصَ — texts. This plural noun is the direct object of 'stripped', the thing acted upon, and its ending marks that object role. It is also the front of a possessive pair with the next noun, 'texts OF the revelation', so it both receives the verb's action and heads an 'of' chain at once.
