How to say “the Lord” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
هِیَ الَّتِي تَحْوِي مَرْضَاةَ الرَّبِّ وَمَحَبَّتَهُ
It is that which contains the Lord's pleasure and His love.
الرَّبِّ — the Lord. A noun carrying 'the', the owner half of 'the pleasure of the Lord', joined by bare juxtaposition. It wears the after-link ending and supplies definiteness; in context 'the Lord' is God. It says whose pleasure is meant.
