Arabic vocabulary
How to say “the opposition of” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَلَّا يَكْتَرِثُ بِمُخَالَفَةِ النَّاكِبِينَ عَنْهُ لَهُ،
So he does not care about the opposition of those who turn away from him to him.
بِمُخَالَفَةِ — by the opposition of. The bi- on the front marks what the caring would be directed at ('about/by the opposition'); it is the specific link this verb of heeding takes. The word it rides is a verbal noun ('the opposing') that heads an 'of' pairing with the people named next. So bi- both governs that noun into the genitive and ties the whole 'opposition of...' phrase to the verb.
