نَعَمْ ؛ أَخَرُ يُبالِغُ فِي الطَّلَبِ ،
Yes; another goes too far in making requests.
الطَّلَبِ — the request. A definite noun with al- ('the asking / requesting'), governed by the preposition 'in' into the 'of'-style (genitive) ending. It names the field in which the second figure goes to excess.

And I am still in the pursuit of knowledge,
الطَّلَبِ — the pursuit of knowledge. A definite noun governed by the preceding 'in' and so in the genitive. Its al- and the scholarly context narrow it to the seeking of knowledge specifically. It names the lifelong activity he says he is still engaged in.
