كَلِمَةَ is how you say “the word” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
وَيَسْمَعُ مِنْهُ الْكَلِمَةَ الْحَكِيمَةَ فَيَعْجَبُ مِنْهُ
He hears the wise word from him and is amazed by him.
الْكَلِمَةَ — the word. A definite noun with 'al-' (the), in the object form as what is heard. The article marks it as a specific 'word/saying', and the adjective right after it will agree with it. Its object ending shows it is what the verb 'hears' acts on.
