How to say “they bowed” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَعَجِبُوا مِنْ جُرْأَةِ إِبْنِهِ فَنَكَسُوا رُؤُوسَهُمْ
They were astonished at his son's audacity, so they bowed their heads.
فَنَكَسُوا — so they bowed. Consecutive fa- ('and so') on a past-tense verb with the plural 'they' in its ending. The fa- sequences the bowing of heads as their reaction to the astonishment.
