Arabic vocabulary
How to say “they broke” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَتْ مِنْ جُرَيْجٍ فَأَتَوْهُ فَكَسَرُوا صَوْمَعَتَهُ،
She said, "From Jurayj." So they came to him and broke his hermitage.
فَكَسَرُوا — so they broke. Again the fa- chains the mob's next act right onto their arrival -- they came and then broke -- and the '-u' plural ending keeps the doer 'they'. The fa- shows these as a quick run of linked actions.
