How to say “they came to him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَتْ مِنْ جُرَيْجٍ فَأَتَوْهُ فَكَسَرُوا صَوْمَعَتَهُ،
She said, "From Jurayj." So they came to him and broke his hermitage.
فَأَتَوْهُ — so they came to him. The fa- swings the story to the crowd's reaction -- 'so they came' -- and the verb's plural '-aw' ending means 'they', with '-hu' (to him) on the tail as the goal. One word carries the link, a plural doer, and the target of their coming.
