Arabic vocabulary
How to say “they denied” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَإِنْ رُئِيَتْ لَهُمْ كَرَّامَةٌ أَنْكَرُوا،
And if honor was shown to them, they denied it.
أَنْكَرُوا — they denied. A past-tense 'they' verb, its plural subject in the ending, serving as the response half of the condition: what they did once the honour appeared. It mirrors the earlier denial verb, completing the 'if shown..., then they denied' structure.
