Arabic vocabulary
How to say “to know” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَبَيْنَهُمَا أُمُورٌ مُشْتَبِهَاتٌ لَا يَعْلَمُهُنَّ كَثِيرٌ مِنْ النَّاسِ،
and between them are doubtful matters, which many people do not know.
يَعْلَمُهُنَّ — know them. The '-hunna' suffix is the feminine-plural object 'them', tracking the feminine-plural 'matters'. The verb's own subject, 'many people', comes after it: 'which many do not know'.
