How to say “to suffice” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَيَكْفِي الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ جَمِيعِ مَا يُبْصِرُهُ وَمَا لَا يُبْصِرُهُ بِعَيْنِهِ وَمَبْدَإِ خَلْقِهِ وَنَشْأَتِهِ
It is enough for a person to consider all that they see and do not see with their eyes, and their origin of creation and formation.
وَيَكْفِي — it suffices. A present-tense verb 'it suffices' with the doer 'it' built in, and a leading 'and'. It heads an impersonal 'it is enough for the person to...' construction whose real subject comes later as the considered things.
