Arabic vocabulary
How to say “to touch” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
الحمد لله الذي صور الصور وما باشر ولا مس،
Praise be to Allah, who shaped the forms without touching or contacting.
باشرَ — he touched. A past-tense verb with the doer 'He' built in, read under the negator before it, so 'He did not handle / make direct contact'. The denial stresses that the shaping happened without any physical means.
