Arabic vocabulary
How to say “to touch” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
الحمد لله الذي صور الصور وما باشر ولا مس،
Praise be to Allah, who shaped the forms without touching or contacting.
مَسَّ — he touched. A past-tense verb with 'He' built in, under the negation, so 'nor did He touch'. Pairing this with the earlier denial drives home that the divine shaping involved no physical touch at all.
