How to say “we buried” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَدَفَنَّاهُ فِي هَذِهِ النَّارِ
So we buried him in this fire.
فَدَفَنَّاهُ — so we buried him. Several pieces in one word: a connector fa- ('so'), the past verb 'we buried', with the first-person plural -na ('we') in its ending, and an object -hu ('him') on the back. The fa- threads this onto the hypothetical as its consequence, the -na marks the group as the doers, and the -hu is the one buried. So the word stacks connector, verb, subject, and object together.
