Arabic vocabulary
How to say “we set out” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَٱِرْتَحَلْنَا بَعْدَ مَا مَالَتِ اَلْشَّمْسُ،
So we set out after the sun had inclined.
فَٱِرْتَحَلْنَا — so we set out. The 'fa-' (so/then) advances the story, fused onto a past verb whose '-na' ending means 'we', giving 'so we set out'. It marks the departure as the next step. The first-person plural subject rides inside that ending.
