How to say “weeping” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَجِئْتُ فَإِذَا الْبُكَاءُ مِنْ حُجُرِهَا كُلِّهَا،
I came, and suddenly there was weeping from all her rooms.
الْبُكَاءُ — the weeping. A definite noun with 'al-' standing as the subject of the verb-less surprise scene; with no 'is' word, the 'al-' marks the weeping as the thing that was suddenly there.
