Arabic vocabulary
How to say “will be set” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
ثُمَّ أَشْفَعُ فَيُحَدُّ لِي حَدٌّ فَأُدْخِلُهُمْ الْجَنَّةَ،
Then I will intercede, a limit will be set for me, and I will admit them into Paradise.
فَيُحَدُّ — then will be set. Two pieces in one word: fa- ties the limit's setting to the intercession as its result, and the verb body is passive, the limit 'is set' with no named agent, the focus on the act rather than the doer. Arabic builds that passive by reshaping the verb's internal vowels, not by adding a helper word.
