How to say “witty people” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَضْحَكَ الثَّكَالَى بِمَا يُسْرَدُ مِنْ أَخْبَارِ البُخَلَاءِ وَالْحَمْقَى وَالْمُغْفَلِينَ وَالْمُتَمَاجِنِينَ وَالظُّرَافِ
He made the bereaved woman laugh with tales recounted about the misers, the fools, the gullible, those who spar, and the witty.
وَالظُّرَافِ — and the witty. This caps the list with 'and' plus a plural, 'the witty'. The 'and' closes the catalogue of report-subjects, and the noun keeps the after-possessor case binding the whole list to 'reports of...'.
