Arabic vocabulary
How to say “your resolve” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِيَّاكَ إِيَّاكَ أَنْ تَغْتَرَّ بِعَزْمِكَ عَلَى تَرْكِ الْهَوَى،
So beware, beware of being deceived by your resolve to abandon desire.
بِعَزْمِكَ — by your resolve. The prefix bi- ('by') is a preposition forcing the noun after it into the 'of...' ending, plus the suffix -ka ('your', male). It marks the means of the deception, telling you deceived BY what: your own resolve. So the single word holds 'by your...'.
