Arabic vocabulary
How to say “your well-being” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَفْرَحُ بِعَافِيَتِكَ غَافِلًا عَنْ قُرْبِ الْأَلَمِ
And you rejoice in your well-being, heedless of the approaching pain!
بِعَافِيَتِكَ — by your well-being. The prefix bi- ('in') is a preposition forcing the 'of...' ending and marking what the rejoicing rests ON, and the suffix -ka ('your', male) supplies the possessor. So the word holds 'in your...', naming well-being as the thing being rejoiced over.
