وَقَدْ يَعُودُونَ إِلَى نَوْعٍ مِنَ الْمَعَاصِيِ وَالْفُسُوقِ
And they may return to a kind of sins and transgression.
نَوْعٍ — a kind. An indefinite noun 'a kind/sort' heading an 'of' relationship completed by the partitive that follows. Its indefiniteness leaves the sort unspecified, 'some kind of'. It carries the after-preposition ending from the 'to' before it.
