إِذَا بُلِغَتِكَ أَنَّ غَنِيًّا اِفْتَقَرَ فَصَدِّقْ،
If it is reported to you that a wealthy man has become poor, then believe it.
غَنِيًّا — a wealthy man. A describing word used here as a stand-alone noun, 'a wealthy one', serving as the subject of the reported clause. Its accusative ending is exactly what the 'that' particle before it imposes on its subject. So its case is governed, not free.
