How to say “after” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قالوا بلى يا رسول الله، قال تسبحون، وتحمدون، وتكبرون، خلف كل صلاة ثلاثًا وثلاثين
They said: 'Yes, O Messenger of Allah.' He said: 'You should glorify Allah, praise Him, and declare His greatness after every prayer thirty-three times.'
خَلْفَ — after. This means 'behind / after' and works as a time-marker, in the accusative as an adverb — 'after [every prayer]'. It heads a possessive with what follows. So it sets WHEN the remembrance is said.
