How to say “al-Arsah” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَصْحَابُهُ بِالْعَرْصَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ
And his companions were at al-Arsah, and the Messenger of God said.
بِالْعَرْصَةِ — at al-Arsah. This bundles the preposition 'at/in' with a place-name carrying 'the'. The preposition forces the place-name into the genitive ending and frames it as the location of the companions. Note that the preposition cannot stand by itself; it always pulls a following noun into its grip, which is the noun fused here.
