Arabic vocabulary
How to say “and fangs” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
جُرْذًا لَهُ مَخَالِبٌ وَأَنْيَابٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ
A mouse that had claws and fangs of iron.
وَأَنْيَابٌ — and fangs. A 'wa-' fused to an indefinite plural noun, 'and fangs'. The 'wa-' links this to 'claws', adding a second thing the rat possesses, and it shares the same subject role in the have-statement. So the pairing extends 'it had claws and fangs', both standing as what exists for the rat.
