How to say “and she turned” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَلَمَّا رَأَتْ الْهِرَّةُ ذَلِكَ وَلَتْ هَارِبَةً
When the cat saw that, she ran away.
وَلَتٍّ — and she turned. A coordinating wa- on a past-tense verb, moving to the next event in sequence; the feminine ending keeps agreement with the same female actor. The wa- simply chains this turning to the seeing before it.
