Arabic vocabulary
How to say “badness of” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَدُرِكَ الشَّقَاءُ وَسُوءُ الْقَضَاءِ وَشَمَاتَةُ الْأَعْدَاءِ
And being overtaken by misery, an adverse decree, and the gloating of enemies.
وَسُوءُ — and badness of. Two pieces: wa- ('and') adds a further item to the list, and the noun heads a possessive pairing with the word after it ('badness of the decree'). As the first term it drops its own 'the' and takes definiteness from the owner that follows.
