How to say “benefit” in Arabic, with pronunciation and real example sentences from OpenArabic texts.
فكلُّ ما حفِظَ هذه الأصولَ فهو مصلحةٌ،
Anything that preserves these principles is a benefit.
مَصْلَحَةٌ — a benefit. 'a benefit / good,' indefinite (the -un), the predicate of that verb-less statement: 'X is a benefit.' Anything serving the five foundations counts, by definition, as a recognized good.
From: Five Objectives of Islamic Law →فإذا تعارضت مصلحتان قُدِّمَت أرجحُهما،
If two benefits conflict, the one with greater weight should be prioritized.
مَصْلَحَتَانِ — two benefits. The dual ending '-ani' carries 'exactly two' — 'two benefits' — the subject of 'clashed.' Two goods that cannot both be had; Arabic folds the 'two' into the noun's ending.
