So I made from the preparation for meeting them readying sheets of paper, sharpening the pens, and bundling the notebooks;
وحزم — and bundling. This token fuses the linking wa- with a plural noun heading an 'of' link: 'and bundles of...'. The wa- adds the final preparation to the list, and the noun leans on the notebooks that follow. It is the last concrete item being readied.
