Arabic vocabulary
How to say “By Allah” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
زاحمت كبار العلماء قالوا تاالله لقد آثرك،
I competed with the great scholars, and they said, 'By Allah, you have been chosen!'
تَاللَّهِ — By Allah. This is an oath formula: the leading particle is a swearing-by marker, like English 'I swear by', fixed to the name that follows. The particle forces that name into the post-preposition form, and the whole phrase functions to stamp the coming statement with emphatic certainty.
