How to say “came” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
أَجَاءَ الْغَسَّانِيُّ قَالَ أَعْظَمُ مِنْ ذَاكَ،
The Ghassani came and said, "Even greater than that."
أَجَاءَ — he came. A past verb 'came' with the single-male subject built in (a heightened 'came upon / arrived' form); its doer, the Ghassani, follows. It opens the report of the awaited arrival.
