الْأَنْعَامِ — cattle. This noun sits as the second member after 'in the position of', taking the genitive ending that such possessive chains require. Its leading 'al-' makes it definite, and it is what the comparison is being drawn to.
From: False Prophets →وَالْأَنْعَامُ وَهِيَ مُعْجِبَةٌ لِلْمَالِكِ وَالنُّظَّارِ،
And the livestock, and they are causing admiration for the owner and the onlookers,
وَالْأَنْعَامُ — and the livestock. The connector wa- ('and') fused onto a noun carrying al- ('the'), resuming the catalogue — 'and the livestock'. The wa- coordinates it with the earlier worldly things, and the article marks the collective as specific. It heads a small clause described by the words that follow.
