How to say “change” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَظَنُّوا أَنَّ وَلَدَهُ يَتَغَيَّرُ عَلَيْهِ
And they thought that his son would change their minds about him.
يَتَغَيَّرُ — would change. Present-tense verb with 'he/it' inside it; in this past-set story it reads as a 'would change'. It is the predicted action inside the thought-clause, what they expected the son to do.
