Arabic vocabulary
How to say “chose him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَإِنَّ آدَمَ قَدْ تَابَ إِلَى رَبِّهِ فَاجْتَبَاهُ وَهَدَى
For Adam had repented to his Lord, so He chose him and guided him.
فَاجْتَبَاهُ — so He chose him. This stacks three things: a linking 'so' showing the result, the verb 'chose', and a tag '-him' as its object. The 'so' marks divine selection as the consequence of the repentance, and the whole sequence is one tight word doing what English spreads across 'so He chose him'.
