Arabic vocabulary
How to say “constancy” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَهَذَا إِنَّمَا يَصِلُ إِلَيْهِ بِدَوَامِ الصَّبْرِ
And this is attained only through constant patience.
بِدَوَامِ — through constancy. The bi- prefix here means 'by/through', marking the means by which the thing is attained, and it forces the following noun into the genitive. It heads a possessive pairing too, so it links to 'patience' to give 'through the constancy of patience'.
