Arabic vocabulary
How to say “descend” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فأنا أصعد وهم ينزلون إلى الدرك،
So I rise while they descend into depths.
يَنْزِلُونَ — they descend. This present-tense verb already contains its subject 'they' in the plural ending, so no separate pronoun is required to do that job. The form pictures the descending as ongoing, matching the running contrast with the speaker's rising in the same breath.
