Arabic vocabulary
How to say “destruction” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لِأَنَّ الْأَمْرَ لِلَّهِ وَقَدْ أُذِنَ فِي هَلَاكِهِ
Because the matter belongs to God, and He has permitted his destruction.
هَلَاكِهِ — destruction of him. A noun naming an event, with the tail -hi fixing 'his' onto it; the preposition before it puts it in the genitive. The attached 'his' reaches back to the scheming figure of the story, marking him as the one whose downfall is permitted.
