How to say “disgraceful” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
اعلم أن في كل طائفة من علماء هذه الأمة ما يذم ويعاب، فتجنبه
Know that in every group of scholars of this nation, there is what is blameworthy and disgraceful, so avoid it.
وَيُعَابُ — and is disgraceful. The conjunction adds a second passive present-tense verb, 'is found faulty', again with the doer suppressed and the subject as receiver. Like its partner, it marks the passive through vowel-change inside the verb, not through any added word.
