How to say “disposition” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَمَعْنَى هَذَا أَنَّ الطَّبْعَ يَتَقَاضَى مَا يَحِبُّ
And the meaning of this is that the natural disposition takes what it loves.
الطَّبْعَ — the natural disposition. A definite noun ('the natural disposition') that is the subject of the emphatic 'that' clause, which is why it takes the accusative ending that this particle imposes. The al- marks it as the known, general human nature. It is what the clause then says does the taking.
