Arabic vocabulary
How to say “take” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَمَعْنَى هَذَا أَنَّ الطَّبْعَ يَتَقَاضَى مَا يَحِبُّ
And the meaning of this is that the natural disposition takes what it loves.
يَتَقَاضَى — it takes. A present-tense verb ('takes/demands') with its 'it' subject built into the form. It agrees with the disposition just named, and no separate pronoun is needed. The verb's pattern carries a sense of insistently calling for or exacting what it wants.
