Arabic vocabulary
How to say “erected” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يَكُونُ ثُبُوتُ قَدَمِهِ عَلَى الْصِّرَاطِ الْمَنْصُوبِ عَلَى مَتْنِ جَهَنَّمِ،
His footing will be firm on the bridge erected over the body of Hell.
الْمَنْصُوبِ — erected. A passive participle ('erected/set up') used as an adjective: the bridge has had the action of erecting done to it. It agrees with 'bridge' in being definite and in the genitive, binding the description to that noun. Arabic forms such 'made-X' adjectives off the verb itself.
