How to say “fear” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَلَا امنها من لم يخوفها
And no one has secured it who has not made it fearful.
يُخَوِّفْهَا — make it fearful. A present-tense doubled (form II) verb 'frightened / made afraid' clipped to the jussive by 'did not', with '-ha' (it) attached — 'did not frighten it'. None made the soul safe but the one who first made it fear.
