Arabic vocabulary
How to say “fortunate” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لَكَانَتْ صَفْقَةٌ رَابِحَةً، وَالْوَجْهَةُ الْمُفَلِّجَةُ النَّاجِحَةُ
It would have been a winning deal, and the fortunate, successful destination.
الْمُفَلِّجَةُ — fortunate. A feminine adjective made definite by al- 'the' to match the definite noun it describes. Arabic adjectives copy their noun's definiteness, so the al- here is what shows it belongs to the destination just named rather than starting a new phrase.
