Arabic vocabulary
How to say “successful” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
لَكَانَتْ صَفْقَةٌ رَابِحَةً، وَالْوَجْهَةُ الْمُفَلِّجَةُ النَّاجِحَةُ
It would have been a winning deal, and the fortunate, successful destination.
النَّاجِحَةُ — successful. A second feminine adjective, also carrying al- 'the' to agree with the same definite noun. Stacking adjectives this way, each matching the noun in gender and definiteness, is how Arabic piles up several descriptions of one thing.
