Arabic vocabulary
How to say “from the two of them” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَلَمْ يَسْأَلْ وَاحِدٌ مِنْهُمَا صَاحِبَهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ حَتَّى أَصْبَحَ،
Then neither of them asked his companion about anything until morning.
مِنْهُمَا — from the two of them. One word for the 'from' preposition plus an attached 'them two'. That suffix is the dual, Arabic's dedicated 'exactly two' form, so it specifies the pair without a separate word for 'both'.
