Arabic vocabulary
How to say “gathers” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يجمع الله الأولين والآخرين في صعيد واحد،
Allah gathers the first and the last in one place,
يَجْمَعُ — He gathers. A present-tense verb with 'he' built into its shape, opening the scene. The subject comes as a separate word right after it (a verb-first order Arabic prefers), so the verb stays singular and the doer is named in the following word.
