Arabic vocabulary
How to say “last” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
يجمع الله الأولين والآخرين في صعيد واحد،
Allah gathers the first and the last in one place,
وَالآخِرِينَ — and the last. The wa- on the front is the linking 'and', pairing this group with the previous one as a second object. It too is a definite plural in the accusative, so the two together are what God gathers: the earliest and the latest.
