Arabic vocabulary
How to say “give glad tidings” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَ اِئْذَنْ لَهُ وَبَشِّرْهُ بِالْجَنَّةِ
He said, 'Allow him and give him glad tidings of Paradise.'
وَبَشِّرْهُ — and give him glad tidings. The wa- ('and') links a second command; the verb is the imperative 'give glad tidings' with an attached 'him' as its object. So 'and give him good news' is one word plus the conjunction.
