How to say “green” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْحَرْثَ مُخْضَرًا وَمُصْفِرًا مُخْتَلِفًا الْأَلْوَانِ وَالْأَزْهَارِ،
and the cultivated land, green and yellow, varied in its colors and flowers.
مُخْضَرًا — green. A color adjective 'green', in the object form to agree with the land it describes. An Arabic adjective trails its noun and copies its case, which is why it takes the same object ending. It begins painting the field's changing hues.
