Arabic vocabulary
How to say “the flowers” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْحَرْثَ مُخْضَرًا وَمُصْفِرًا مُخْتَلِفًا الْأَلْوَانِ وَالْأَزْهَارِ،
and the cultivated land, green and yellow, varied in its colors and flowers.
الْأَزْهَارِ — the flowers. Carries al- ('the') and is coordinated by the wa- before it with 'the colors', so it shares the same genitive complement role under 'varied'. The plural is an irregular reshaped form. It completes 'varied in its colors and flowers', closing the description of the field.
